Commute This

We have been doing an apartment that doubles as a show salon over a very well established tailor's shop on  55th & 5th.  So every morning we take the subway to 59th & The Plaza Hotel (Central Park SE), come up above ground and embattle the crowds to walk just four blocks.
It really is very lovely to enter the ground level city there....

photos from Google image search

However....
(And we are probably being too harsh here)

Why would one take a picture of the apple store? By that we mean they aim the camera so as not to capture the street (people) level?
Thought we'd mention... a vertical shot of trump tower???
They are certainly not new yorkers... Except for the day.
We love the visitors, we really do, there is something very comforting about being in a throng and not hearing English being spoken incessantly.... Trust us.

SOCK MY BLUR!!!

We love new york.
People take pictures.
People talk.
People don't talk.
People are German; People are French & sometimes Bengalese, etc.
People drive livery cabs.
People have places to be.
People sell their art on the sidewalk.
Some people sell their arts on the sidewalk.......
People are has-beens..
Peoples are wanna-be and will-be.
People are hungry.
People want to be free.
Some people are republican.....

This people is just trying to pay the electric bill...

  1. Nice Pictures.

Never been to NYC and am not likely to get there either.

    Just have to live vicariously...

  2. When I visit NYC, I always feel exhilarated like I'm on a movie set. I mean, everything looks, smells, and sounds like it exactly should!

  4. Princess... It is really quite a place, and when people come here for the first time many claim the sensation of having been here before, I think because of all the films & stories. But the truth of new york is that if one lived a thousand lifetimes of a hundred years each, one could still never see the city...

xl.... It is a movie set, I have no Idea how many photos have been taken of me over my years here. Next time you visit, drop a line....

MJ.... Don't know if you've ever been, but something tells me that you would just Eat It Up!
